Finance Systems Analyst

The Role

Help shape high-quality finance systems support at a world-leading business school

London Business School are looking for a proactive and technically confident Finance System Analyst to join our Finance Operations team and help deliver an effective, high-quality finance systems service across the School.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of finance, systems and user support, and who can combine strong attention to detail with a service-focused mindset.

You will provide an effective and high-quality finance systems service to the Finance Department and the wider School in support of their objectives.

You will support the maintenance of finance systems and projects relating to finance systems, help manage user access and authorisations, and act as a key point of contact for system administration and end-user support. You will also support expense and purchasing systems, finance system reporting and the administration of the School’s banking and credit card processes.

This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys systems administration, process support and working closely with users to ensure finance systems run efficiently and accurately.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the Finance System Manager and IT with the maintenance of finance systems and finance systems-related projects.
  • Set up and manage user access rights within the finance system, ensuring appropriate permissions for different roles across the organisation.
  • Develop and deliver finance system training for end users.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are developed and maintained.
  • Assist with finance system reporting and other finance systems queries.
  • Provide systems administration, including maintenance of users and authorisations, cost centres and hierarchies, other standing data within TechnologyOne
  • Maintain the School’s expense and purchasing order systems, ensuring users are set up and changes are processed accurately and on time.
  • Administer the School’s banking and credit card system, including approvals, application processing, query handling

Who we are looking for

  • Relevant experience, which may be supported by a specialist qualification.
  • May be working towards a relevant professional qualification.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to break down technical issues and explain them in straightforward terms.
  • Experience using software related to your area of specialism to extract, analyse and report on data.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a customer service-oriented environment.
  • Strong administration experience.

At London Business School, we support Smart Working - a hybrid approach designed to help you achieve a healthy work-life balance while delivering the best outcomes for your role and the needs of our customers. All roles require a minimum of two days on campus each week to foster a vibrant, collaborative community.

For this role specifically, you will be expected to be on campus 2 days per week.

We operate with ‘core hours’ – 10:00-15:00 – to maximise opportunities for connection and collaboration across teams during the working day. Outside of these hours, you may still be required for meetings or collaboration based on your role and customer needs. Additionally, we offer Protected Time - a flexible, one-hour slot, within the working week dedicated to your learning and development, wellbeing, or focused, quiet work
