Career Lead, EMBA Dubai & Global

The Role

Are you passionate about leading, designing and delivering a world class programme?

At LBS our Executive MBA Career Lead is accountable for leading, designing and delivering an Executive Career Management offer for the School’s Executive MBA (EMBA) students. This role works closely with a team of career professionals and expert learning specialists, external Business Leaders (Directors & C-suite level) from diverse industry sectors, LBS Alumni, Faculty and Degree Education colleagues. The role delivers and facilitates access to executive career insights for the EMBAs (as well as Leadership programme participants and alumni), so they have a competitive advantage when creating and implementing their individual, strategic career plans. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Accountable for supporting the career development of our EMBA community, working with them on a 1-1, group and class basis
  • Creating impactful and inspiring executive career insights and sessions, and supporting career tools, to benefit the EMBA students, Leadership Programme participants and School community including alumni. 
  • Work collaboratively as part of the wider Career Centre team sharing your understanding of the needs of working professionals.
  • Developing and maintaining internal and external contacts to enhance career opportunities for LBS executive talent (EMBA students are the primary audience), including relationships with senior alumni, leaders and C-Suite professionals external to LBS

Who we are looking for

  • Passionate about the changing world of work, career strategy and companies/markets
  • Experience in Career Development, coaching and training.
  • Skills to aid individuals manage and navigate career transitions
  • An individual who is committed to advancing the way things are done. Including collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to identify cross department opportunities
  • Experience in a recruitment and/or people development context, or as a business leader passionate about supporting others’ career development, in the sectors/functions our postgraduate students seek, is valued.
  • Labour market insight for Middle East and/or multinational organisations desirable
  • A working knowledge of learning technologies, activities and teaching methods to maximise the student experience is desirable
