Software Developer
The Role
London Business School are looking for a Software/Frontend Developer to join us on a permanent basis. We’re looking for a Frontend Developer to help build and evolve modern, accessible, high-performance digital experiences.
You’ll work closely with backend developers, designers, QA, and product teams to deliver user-focused features across web platforms. This is a hands-on role with plenty of scope to grow your technical depth while contributing to real-world, production systems.
You’ll be part of a supportive, cross-functional engineering team working on meaningful products with real users. We care about code quality, accessibility, and sustainable delivery - and we give developers space to grow their skills and influence how things are built.
Main Responsibilities
- Building responsive, accessible user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks
- Working with APIs and backend services to deliver end-to-end features
- Collaborating with designers and product teams to turn requirements into well-crafted UI
- Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested frontend code
- Contributing to frontend standards, patterns, and shared components
- Supporting releases and resolving production issues when needed
Who we are looking for
- Commercial experience as a frontend developer working on production systems
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks, with practical experience of React
- Familiarity with Next.js or similar modern React frameworks
- Experience building responsive, accessible user interfaces for public-facing websites
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) beyond the basics
- Comfortable consuming APIs and collaborating closely with backend developers
- Solid understanding of frontend performance, browser behaviour, and debugging techniques
- Experience with frontend testing strategies and tooling
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern build tooling
- Experience working with headless CMS platforms (e.g. Contentful)
- Experience working on large-scale or content-rich websites
- Experience working collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams (design, backend, QA)
- A pragmatic approach to code quality, maintainability, and delivery
