Senior PR Manager

The Role

Due to the requirements of this role we can consider the following employment options:

  • 3 days per week on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract basis.
  • 5 days per week on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract basis

There may be an option to extend the role beyond the initial FTC period.

Could you promote our brand and reputation?

We are looking for a Senior PR Manager to increase London Business School’s share of voice with respect to chosen issues and themes, and to strengthen the reputation of the School with target audience groups. You will work with stakeholders to raise our profile, develop communications solutions to deliver impact and lead on the delivery of projects and programmes of work.

Based out of London and Dubai, the team works across the broad spectrum of communications, including  strategic communications, media relations, content development, messaging and partnership development.  The communications function is a strategic enabler for the high performance and growth of the School. It works to create alignment and assist the leadership of the School with communicating the School’s vision, encouraging advocacy and increasing share of voice.

Your key objective will be to provide a lead function of the London Business School’s brand and reputation across the globe but with a key focus on the UK. You’ll achieve this by developing strong relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external to develop a deep understanding of London Business School and use this insight to inform innovative and high-impact initiatives. Your tenacious approach to researching the latest industry trends and advancements will ensure you deliver effective PR strategies.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop strong relationships with key journalists
  • Promote faculty research
  • Distil complex research into media pitches, articles and news stories
  • Lead on a portfolio of projects and campaigns
  • Be a trusted advisor on communications and external engagement for stakeholders including our Executive Education department, Accounting and Finance faculty and research institutes
  • Provide senior PR counsel and issues-based management when required

Who we are looking for

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Professional qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage a variety of audiences.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry and technological advancements.
  • Knowledge of business education and competitor organisations.
  • Experience of leading/playing a part in innovative projects, campaigns or initiatives.
  • Financial PR experience (desirable)
  • Experience of managing contractors and/or agencies.
