Senior Manager, Education Technology

The Role

Can you help deliver world-class learning programmes through technology?

Working for the EdTech team within our Degree Education and Career Centre (DECC), you’ll support  DECC’s education technology systems, including SEAtS Attendance Monitoring and Canvas.

Main Responsibilities

You’ll lead on the development and ongoing management of SEAtS Attendance Monitoring System:.

  • Upgrading the system - liaising with IT
  • Supporting our users and other stakeholders (Visa team and Programme Offices, Faculty), updating guidance materials
  • Analytics and running reports for management
  • Reviewing a mobile solution - including business case, pilot set up, implementation

You’ll also:

  • Manage day-to-day business systems support, data management and protection, and the documentation of current business processes
  • Use your knowledge of learning technology advances and competitor offerings to develop our School’s wider education technology ecosystem and overall digital learning plans
  • Gain and develop a high level understanding of application functionality, keeping abreast of system capability and user requirements
  • Assess the quality and impact of learning interventions to continuously improve our existing systems
  • Collaborate with a range of stakeholders to enable cross-department working and ensure new learning solutions maximise learning impact
  • Monitor the quality of work delivered by suppliers and escalate issues when required

Who we are looking for

  • A bachelor’s degree and professional qualification, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with LMS / VLE (preferably Canvas), LTI integration and implementing learning technology projects
  • Experience successfully line-managing and acting as a role model for change
  • Significant project management and business analysis experience
  • Strong change management skills
  • Experience providing systems administration, including testing, back-end permissions, data management, and documenting processes
  • The ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders at all levels, including peers, faculty, administrators and suppliers
  • Experience providing training and user support to staff and faculty
