Research & Fundraising Finance Analyst

The Role

Fixed Term Contract until May 2025

London Business School require a Research & Fundraising Finance Analyst to join our Finance team on a fixed term contract until May 2025.

You will be supporting the Finance Business Partner within Research & Fundraising, and have a primary focus on a number of areas including Research @ LBS and supporting our Advancement team.

We require a candidate who doesn’t have to be qualified, but has experience ideally within a fundraising setting.

Main Responsibilities

  • Working collaboratively with the Research & Faculty Office [RFO]) to faculty for the internally awarded Individual Faculty Budgets (IFBs) and Research & Materials Development funds (RaMDs)
  • Monitoring income to ensure that expected income (contribution from research, donations and the income guarantee) is received 
  • Acting as the primary finance contact for Advancement; responding to queries, posting journals, providing analysis etc on a timely basis

  • Assist, as required, with internal & external audits 
  • BACS payment approvals as timetabled 

Who we are looking for

  • May be working towards relevant professional qualification.  
  • Good communication skills and the ability to break down technical issues and explain them in layman’s terms.  
  • Experience of using software related to own area of specialism to extract, analyse and report on data.  
  • Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.  
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.  
  • Positive experience of working within a customer-services orientated environment.  
  • Budget management experience
