The Role

(This is a 6 month Fixed Term Contract with the potential to go permanent)

Can you provide great customer service?

Join us as a Porter to provide support to the whole school community. Provide day-to-day support and upkeep for all areas of our School, including room set ups, office moves, potential driving duties, post rounds and processing all aspects of mail and deliveries. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate, prioritise, undertake  and manage all aspects of Portering services
  • Communicate and liaise with internal and external customers
  • Positively contribute to meetings to ensure the Campus Services and Developments department continuously improves
  • Plan and deliver a wide variety of items, as well as load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicles

Who we are looking for

  • Previous experience in a customer service environment
  • Good team working and communication skills
  • A full, clean drivers licence, desirable.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations, including manual handling
  • Excellent interpersonal skills along with strong organisational and time management skills
  • The flexibility to work a variety of shifts
