PhD Programme Manager
The Role
Support and Enhance our PhD Programme
We are looking for a motivated PhD Programme Manager to join our forward-thinking Research and Faculty Office. You’ll manage the student life cycle from admission to graduation and deliver a high quality student experience. Help us continually enhance the quality of applications, and onboard the best new talent to take us into the future.
Main Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of operational plans for the delivery of the PhD Programme
- Work closely with Faculty Coordinators, managing progress requirements for all PhD students
- Manage operational and Trans-Atlantic Doctoral Conference budgets, as well as assist students with external grant applications
- Ensure an impeccable student experience, monitoring progress milestones, the examination process, pastoral care and student facilities
- Take control of applications and admissions, issuing Certificates of Sponsorship and handling visa issues
- Line management (one direct report)
Who we are looking for
- Previous experience working in a Higher Education environment
- Student facing experience desirable
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Strong written and communication skills
- Able to work with a variety of software and databases
- Sound project management skills
