Outreach and Communications Executive

The Role

Are you looking for a new opportunity to enhance your communication and digital marketing skills?

We are looking for an Outreach and Communications Executive to join the Wheeler Institute of Business and Development team until July 2024. You will report to the Outreach Director and be responsible for performing a wide range of creative, technical and administrative duties in order to support outreach activities.

This role will contribute to the ongoing development of platforms that allow us to engage with a wider audience and will suit you if you are able to pick up new skills quickly and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and design materials to support outreach initiatives including collateral materials, newsletters, and annual reports
  • Co-ordinate social media activities (Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube) and source relevant and frequent content in line with Wheeler initiatives and events
  • Research, develop new stories and edit/review written pieces for publication on our website, blog or other relevant channels
  • Manage the administration of a portfolio of stakeholders and maintain and further develop our CRM system
  • Support the delivery and impact of events across the Wheeler Institute, including promotion and advertising via internal and external channels

Who we are looking for

  • Advanced copywriting and editing skills
  • Reviewing and developing online articles and communications
  • Experience of creating compelling and engaging social media content
  • Good Adobe Photoshop (or equivalent) skills and experience with Salesforce or other relevant CRM systems or databases
  • Familiar with Google Analytics or another web analytics software.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with experience of managing and influencing diverse stakeholders
