The Role
Protect compliance and enable global mobility at London Business School
London Business School (LBS) is seeking an experienced Manager, Visa Compliance to play a critical role in delivering high‑quality, compliant visa services across the School. This role sits within the Visa Centre of Excellence (CoE) and is central to protecting the School’s sponsor licences while enabling international students, staff and faculty to study and work in the UK.
As Manager, Visa Compliance, you will be responsible for the operational delivery of visa compliance activity across the School, within the governance framework of the Visa Centre of Excellence.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Visa Compliance & Financial Aid, you will support day‑to‑day Student and Skilled Worker compliance activity, including right‑to‑study and right‑to‑work checks, monitoring of visa conditions, statutory reporting and audit readiness.
You will maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of UK immigration regulations and proactively review and improve systems and processes to mitigate risk and ensure full regulatory compliance.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver operational visa compliance activity across Student and Skilled Worker routes
- Ensure visa processes, records and reporting meet UKVI requirements and internal policy
- Support right to work and right to study compliance and ongoing monitoring of visa conditions
- Contribute to statutory reporting and sponsor licence audit readiness
- Review, strengthen and improve visa compliance systems and processes
- Provide clear, accurate advice on visa compliance requirements to stakeholders
- Work closely with colleagues across Degree Education, Faculty HR, the People Team and Executive Education
- Support consistent, defensible and proportionate visa practices across the School
Who we are looking for
- Strong working knowledge of UK immigration law and UKVI sponsor requirements (Student and Skilled Worker routes)
- Experience managing compliance processes in a regulated environment
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex regulatory guidance
- Excellent organisational and record keeping skills with high attention to detail
- The ability to manage competing priorities and operate confidently in a risk based environment
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex regulations clearly
- Line management experience is desirable

For this role specifically, you will be expected to be on campus 2 days per week.
We operate with ‘core hours’ – 10:00-15:00 – to maximise opportunities for connection and collaboration across teams during the working day. Outside of these hours, you may still be required for meetings or collaboration based on your role and customer needs.
