Interim Head of Projects and Central Services
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of professionals through a period of change. This role will be a key role in supporting our Project Managers and Central Services function as LBS moves to an Agile Workstream Delivery Model to support its Digital Transformation.
This role will lead the Project Delivery Function, acting as senior subject matter expert of the delivery centre of excellence.
Main Responsibilities
- Drive the planning and delivery of our digital transformation.
- Support the team and newly appointed Agile Coach to move towards Business Value Delivery.
- Identify and map key dependencies across our digital change portfolio to create an achievable portfolio plan.
- Contribute to the development of a vision/strategy for Project Management and Central Services team and broader Delivery Capability team to enable the realisation of the London Business School vision.
- Manage the resource profile against the planned delivery
- Support the adoption of a Product Management approach
Who we are looking for
- Prince2 and Agile PM certification or equivalent experience essential.
- Experience in working in an agile delivery environment will be considered favorably.
- Management of Portfolios (MoP) qualification useful, but not essential.
- Significant experience in a project/change management role in a medium to large size organisation.
- Significant experience of portfolio/ programme/ project management using leading methodologies and processes.
- Experience of working with or within a PMO.
- Proven planning and budget management experience, particularly in an IT environment.
- Proven experience of contract/vendor/procurement management.
- Significant experience of software related to own area of specialism, with the ability to build basic models or tools.
- Sound working knowledge of policies, regulations and legislation in area of specialism.
- Experience in Higher Education is not essential but may be an advantage.
