Head of Marketing Analytics and Data
The Role
Do you want to influence and lead Marketing Analytics across a global Business School?
We are looking for a Head of Marketing Analytics and Data to join our progressive Brand & Marketing team on a permanent basis. This is a pivotal role within an expanding team. You will have the opportunity to re-invent the data and analytics operation within the Brand & Marketing function and play a leading role within the organisation’s wider digital and data transformation.
You will own the marketing analytics strategy and roadmap, and responsibilities will span across attribution, report development & automation, customer journey analysis, optimization, and forecasting.
This role will suit you if you are highly collaborative with a positive attitude as you will lead on projects across the department and School teams. Additionally, you will recruit and lead a team of three analysts and partner with colleagues to identify ways to improve performance on the levers that drive pipeline and explain performance vs. plan with actionable insights.
Main Responsibilities
- Leading all aspects of marketing campaign and data analytics, including analysing and interpreting data; understanding customer behaviour and developing customer segmentation strategy;
- Making evidence-based recommendations; delivering reports and presentations in simple and accessible ways to business stakeholders to help meet business goals.
- Initiating and leading the design and implementation of new/enhanced systems, policies, projects and approaches within Data & Analytics
- Creating clear and actionable insights with ‘so what’ implications that will directly shape future campaigns
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of the data, analytics and reporting requirements needed to meet the business’s ambitious growth targets
- Business lead for the organisation’s data transformation and single customer view projects
Who we are looking for
- Extensive experience in marketing analytics, having led, grown and managed teams, inclusive of recruitment, retention and performance management.
- Strong experience of measuring marketing ROI, attribution, marketing mix modelling, incrementality modelling etc
- Experience setting up a new data analytics function (desired).
- Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics or similar
- Experience working with CRM databases (MS Dynamics an advantage) to extract and manipulate large volumes of data in order to form insights (desired)
- Solid experience using data visualisation tools, such as Power BI or Google Data Studio to tell a story and bring data to life
