Finance Analyst

The Role

 (Up to 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract)

Help us transform the way the world does business
We’re looking for a driven up and coming junior accountant to act as assistant business partner for Degree programmes within the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team.

Our FP&A team within Accounts provides a full forward looking business partnering, budgeting and forecasting support service to all areas of the School, delivering change and supporting the planning work to achieve the School’s medium and long term strategies.


Joining them as Finance Analyst, you’ll provide support and assistance to the Finance Manager Degree Programmes, and the Director FP&A in providing a full finance business partner service.

Main Responsibilities

That means you’ll:
• Support the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes
• Act as assistant business partner for the assigned apartments, providing high quality advice and guidance on all aspects of finance
• Manage accurate headcount reporting, tracking of student numbers, the completion and loading of cost templates, and other support
• Support the delivery of regular management reporting for assigned areas and assist these teams
• Assist in the maintenance of the cost centre hierarchy, and set up new cost centres when required

Who we are looking for

• A graduate and part-qualified accountant
• Experience of working in a business facing role
• The ability to produce effective financial and non-financial management reports, analyses and recommendations
• Strong Excel skills
• Good communication skills
• A knowledge of budgeting and forecasting preferable
