Events Manager
The Role
Help us transform the way the world does business
In this key role, you will manage and deliver a world-class – and sector-leading – programme of events, including our high-profile speaker series, conferences, community activities, graduation ceremonies and research centre initiatives. Blending creative thinking with a solid grasp of logistics and outstanding project management skills, this is an opportunity to put your own mark on our attention-grabbing global communications and events strategy.
Main Responsibilities
• Managing and delivering our events series and reputation-enhancing activities, including the School’s flagship Graduation Ceremonies.
• Delivering multiple concurrent events with creativity, flair and imagination
• Building and managing new relationships with speakers, sponsors, suppliers and stakeholders
• Setting objectives and metrics for each activity and analysing performance
• Marketing events and establishing compelling communication plans across channels
• Managing large budgets, signing off costs and aligning with School policy

Who we are looking for
• Strong experience in events management (three years minimum), including large scale projects
• Demonstrable knowledge of negotiating and working with external and 3rd party supplier
• The ability and confidence to engage with stakeholders across all levels
• Excellent customer service and organisational skills
• A flexible approach to working hours
• Experience working within budgets and time limits
• High level of attention to details
• A knowledge of events management softwares, CRM and mass marketing systems preferable
