Shape the future of digital learning at a world‑leading business school
London Business School (LBS) is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join us as Director, Digital Content & Educational Technology. This is a pivotal role with School‑wide responsibility for education technology platforms and digital content capability, supporting in‑person, blended and digital learning at scale.
As Director, Digital Content & Educational Technology, you will provide both strategic and operational leadership for the School’s education technology platforms and digital content capabilities.
You will be accountable for establishing DCET as a high‑performing, School‑wide centre of excellence, with clear ownership, governance and service standards. The role balances innovation with operational stability, ensuring platforms are robust, compliant and aligned with the School’s long‑term strategy
Business Operations & Services (BOS) provides cross‑School services that enable effective operations and sustainable growth. BOS brings together scale‑critical and risk‑bearing functions, ensuring consistent, reliable and high‑quality service delivery across the School.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide single product ownership for core learning platforms
- Lead the delivery of robust, scalable and compliant education technology services
- Enable high quality digital content development and reuse across programmes
- Define and deliver platform roadmaps aligned to School strategy and future learning models
- Integrate previously distributed capabilities into a cohesive, well governed function
- Embed transparent prioritisation, clear governance and consistent service standards
- Lead, develop and inspire a multidisciplinary team of approximately 12 staff, with oversight of freelance contractors
- Manage budgets, supplier contracts and platform licensing
- Act as a senior partner to academic and professional stakeholders across the School
Who we are looking for
- Significant senior leadership experience in education technology, digital learning or enterprise platform environments
- Demonstrable experience of product ownership, platform strategy and roadmap governance
- Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Experience leading change, building new functions and operating models
- Financial and commercial acumen, including budget and supplier management
- The ability to balance innovation with risk management and operational resilience

For this role specifically, you will be expected to be on campus 2 days per week.
We operate with ‘core hours’ – 10:00-15:00 – to maximise opportunities for connection and collaboration across teams during the working day. Outside of these hours, you may still be required for meetings or collaboration based on your role and customer needs. Additionally, we offer Protected Time - a flexible, one-hour slot, within the working week dedicated to your learning and development, wellbeing, or focused, quiet work
