Alumni Volunteer and Events Manager

The Role

Build something that makes a difference


As the Alumni Volunteer and Events Manager, you’ll be instrumental in building the foundations for a lasting relationship with alumni and helping us build on the recent success of our first comprehensive fundraising Campaign which raised £125 million.
As a key member of the Alumni Engagement team, you will be responsible for the management of the Alumni experience through our flagship Reunion events and webinars. This includes but is not limited to, recruitment and management of volunteers, delivering and supporting the planning and execution of key flagship events such as Reunion for New Alumni, Reunion and any other events delivered by the Alumni Engagement team.

Main Responsibilities

• Work with volunteers who are celebrating their reunions to develop individual class celebrations where needed, engagement of fellow classmates.
• Continuous engagement of volunteers for ongoing opportunities.
• Assist with planning and executing of our flagship alumni Reunion events and a range of other activity including webinars where appropriate
• Support overall Alumni Engagement strategy by tactically aligning relevant activities
• Proactively suggest efficiency and effectiveness improvements to your own and the wider team’s work
• Monitor Financial activity

Who we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Excellent stakeholder management
• Good project management skills
• Excellent organisational skills
• Knowledge of alumni relations or member programmes and experience delivering complex events
• Adept at MS Office with a good knowledge of databases, (Raiser’s Edge preferable)
• Can comfortably communicate with a wide variety of audiences and deliver effective presentations
• Exceptional relationship management and customer service skills
• Ability to manage and motivate volunteers of varying nationality and experience
