Accounts Receivable Manager

The Role

12 month Fixed Term contract 

London Business School are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to join our Finance team. You will play a key role in managing company receivables, including degree and executive education programme invoicing, credit collection, and student loan management. You will report to the Associate Director, Finance Shared Services, and support the wider Finance department and School objectives.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate the Accounts Receivable and Credit Control team, ensuring SMART objectives are delivered.
  • Work with business areas to ensure structured, timely invoicing across all programmes.
  • Manage the School's central credit collection process, ensuring compliance with VAT regulations.
  • Analyse debtor trends and support internal audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement new policies and procedures to enhance finance system processes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, managing complex queries with a professional mindset.

Who we are looking for

  • CICM Qualification desired 
  • Excellent communication skills to engage and influence diverse audiences, including stakeholders.
  • Experience in bookkeeping and accounts, including managing ledgers and double entry.
  • Proven ability to reduce debt and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP’s.
  • Ability to train and develop staff, prioritise tasks, and focus on material issues.

For this role specifically, you will be expected to be on campus 2 days per week.

We operate with ‘core hours’ – 10:00-15:00 – to maximise opportunities for connection and collaboration across teams during the working day. Outside of these hours, you may still be required for meetings or collaboration based on your role and customer needs. Additionally, we offer Protected Time - a flexible, one-hour slot, within the working week dedicated to your learning and development, wellbeing, or focused, quiet work
