Academic Quality Manager

The Role

London Business School require a new Academic Quality Manager to join our globally renowned Business School.

You will provide expertise on all matters of quality (assurance & enhancement) and academic standards (student casework) Whilst also supporting the realisation of the vision and priorities for teaching and learning at the School

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the enhancement and implementation of the academic quality framework, ensuring compliance with internal governance, external regulations, best practice. 
  • Develop the online academic quality manual, including carrying out formal reviews of academic policies and procedures, and creating documented policies, procedures, and templates for use by faculty, students and staff.  
  • Lead the implementation of policy controls and record management for internal and external audit purposes.   
  • Lead on the development of policies and procedures for student casework and ensuring compliance with external regulations and best practice.  
  • Manage student casework including liaising with students, staff, and faculty to investigate cases, prepare reports for formal consideration, support academic panels, and provide expert advise to ensure the consistency of procedures, case outcomes and maintenance of the School’s academic standards.  
  • Provide data and analysis for reporting purposes and scrutiny, identify trends and opportunities for enhancements to the academic quality framework. 

Who we are looking for

  • Experience of managing complaints and/or student casework.  
  • Good communication skills and the ability to break down technical issues and explain them in layman’s terms.  
  • Experience of using software related to own area of specialism to extract, analyse and report on data.  
  • Good project management skills.  
  • Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.  
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.  
  • Positive experience of working within a customer-services orientated environment.
